3. Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act - The CARES Act was signed by President Trump to help provide financial stability and relief for individuals and businesses affected by COVID-19. 
 

 


4. Small Business Paycheck Protection Program - The Paycheck Protection Program provides small businesses with funds to pay up to eight weeks of payroll costs including benefits. Funds can also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent and utilities. 
 

 


5. Family First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) - The FFCRA requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

Unemployment Compensation - ADOL Secretary Fitzgerald Washington announced that Alabama workers who are not able to work due to COVID-19 will be eligible to file for unemployment benefits. Dothan Career Center, 787 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, Alabama, (334) 792-2121 – no in person visits, but they have all related information at their front door.
