The Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce recently ended its FY 2006 with a 90.5 percent member retention rate. For the past three years, the Chamber has ended its fiscal year above the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives average to fall within the ninetieth percentile.

According to the ACCE, the average fiscal year 2005 - 2006 retention rate was 84.7 percent.

Member retention rate is the percentage of members who maintained their membership with the organization during a specified completed fiscal year. It is calculated as the number of membership accounts at the end of the previous fiscal year minus the number of cancellations at current year end, divided by the number of membership accounts at the end of the previous fiscal year.
