There are many different Workforce Development resources available to guide you:

 

Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT):
AIDT, an institute of the state's Department of Post-Secondary Education, provides job specific training services to new and expanding industries throughout the state. Visit www.aidt.edu.

 

Alaabama Technology Network:
The Alabama Technology Network is compromised of ten Centers that link the University of Alabama System, Auburn University, the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, and selected two-year colleges throughout the state. ATN specializes in identifying the needs of existing industry, and then delivering technical assistance and technology solutions. Visit www.atn.org.

 

Workforce Investment Board Consumer Information:
This site provides a list of eligible service providers approved for training by the Local Workforce Investment Boards. Visit www.searpdc.org.

 

Senior Employment Program:
Title V of the Older Americans Act established the Senior Workers/Senior Aides program for persons over 55 years of age, with low incomes. The Southeast Alabama Planning and Development Commission is under contract with the Alabama Department of Senior Services and the National Senior Citizens Education and Research Center to administer the program for: Coffee, Covington, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston counties. The Alabama Department of Senior Services is the state agency that administers most programs of the Older Americans Act. It has divided the state into 13 regions, which are each served by an Area Agency on Aging. Visit www.alabamaageline.gov.
