The Dothan Area Young Professionals originated under the community's ENVISION initiative. The program is now sponsored by the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce and falls under the Chamber's program of work. DAYP began with an explosive launch during the summer of 2007 with a simple agenda: To enrich our community by uniting and developing our young professionals. With many exciting initiatives on the horizon we feel that we have an opportunity to be a part of creating Dothan's future.

DAYP serves as a vehicle for current and potential young professionals to: 

• Enhance their professional skills through a series of professional development workshops.
• Promote participation in philanthropic activities through a set series of community outreach programs.
• Network with existing young professionals through a series of social/networking opportunities.
• Allow for the communication of community-wide events that impact young professionals through an interactive website.

The Dothan Area Young Professionals program is a benefit of Chamber membership. DAYP’s target members are young (21-41) professionals interested in developing our community through outreach, networking or professional development. They don't create restrictions... if you are energetic and enthusiastic about Dothan's young professionals community, they would love to have you join them!
