Ambassadors and Diplomats

The mission of the Ambassador and Diplomat programs is to act as "goodwill ambassadors and diplomats" for the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce while promoting retention and increasing membership. They also assist in promoting the Chamber and its events and activities.

Ambassadors are chosen each year in October at the start of the Chamber's fiscal year. Anyone who is an active Chamber member is eligible to apply for the program. Applications are available in the Chamber Connections newsletter during the months of July, August and September. Once someone has been an Ambassador for three years, they are eligible for the Diplomat program.

Ambassador and Diplomats are responsible for attending monthly meetings, assisting in new member recruitment and contacting members to make sure they are satisfied with Chamber services. They are required to attend all membership events including Ribbon Cuttings, Groundbreakings, General Membership Events, Networking Events and Trade Shows. They also assist the Membership Director in coordinating these same events throughout the year.
